Overtime calculator

Overtime rate and gross pay at time and a half or double time.

Quick answer: overtime rate = hourly rate × 1.5. At $20/hour that is $30/hour.

How to calculate time and a half

Multiply the hourly rate by 1.5. That is the overtime rate. Then multiply it by the overtime hours. At $20 an hour, time and a half is $30 an hour, so 5 overtime hours pay $150 on top of the regular $800 for 40 hours: $950 total.
